NYEWASCO marked the close of Customer Service Week 2026 with a vibrant cake-cutting ceremony, bringing together staff and customers in a celebration led by Managing Director, Eng. Peter G. Kahuthu. Celebrated under the theme “The Extra Mile,” the week provided an opportunity to appreciate customers and recognise the teams whose daily efforts sustain the Company’s water and sanitation services.

The closing ceremony reflected the value of the relationship between NYEWASCO and its customers. It was a moment to say thank you for their trust, feedback and continued engagement, while appreciating staff for their contribution to customer service across the Company.

For NYEWASCO, going the extra mile means taking practical steps to improve each customer’s experience. These include listening carefully to concerns, helping customers understand their bills, taking ownership of service issues and following up on matters that require further attention.

Customer feedback remains essential to this work. Each enquiry, concern and suggestion provides an opportunity to understand customers’ needs and identify areas where service can improve. Clear explanations, responsive assistance and consistent follow-up help build confidence in the Company’s services.

The celebrations also highlighted the shared responsibility behind customer service. From responding to enquiries to supporting daily operations, the efforts of teams across NYEWASCO contribute to the experience customers receive.

As Customer Service Week 2026 comes to a close, the commitment behind “The Extra Mile” continues. NYEWASCO carries this spirit into its daily work, putting customers at the heart of its water and sanitation services.

To all our customers, thank you for giving us the opportunity to serve you. To our staff, thank you for the dedication you bring to that service every day.
